BPW NEW HOURS

With the spread of COVID-19 becoming more prevalent within the Melbourne community, and our State Government modelling showing our daily cases are going to increase to 4000 per day as we reduce LOCKDOWN restrictions, BPW have decided to implement new work hours.

While our enthusiastic and passionate sales staff in the office will continue working “normal” 9-5 hours, our dedicated and hardworking warehouse team will be split into 2 shifts:

  • First shift will run from 6am-2pm (including our despatch team)
  • 30-minute change over period so that there is NO contact between the two shifts
  • Second shift will run from 2:30pm-10:30pm
  • Office staff will be isolated in their own bubble and not permitted to enter the warehouse at any time
  • Wheel building team working 6am-2pm but also in an isolated bubble

The idea for this initiative is to create distinct teams so that we can hopefully avoid the “one out, all out” possibility and therefore can stay open to continue to supply, help and support our valued customers.

We would hate to be shut down for multiple weeks and not be able to provide for our wonderful customers who support us. 

With the despatch team only working in the morning shift, this will mean no connotes will be generated after 2pm. While we will still despatch the same number of orders in a 24 hour period, orders received after 10am will be less likely to leave the same day.

This initiative is only being enacted at the VIC office & warehouse. Andrew & his team at our QLD warehouse will continue their normal hours.
