We are very proud of our history and our progression from an idea, a one man operation, into a respected integral supply partner in the Independent Bicycle Store sector. A summary of our history is as follows:-

Bicycle Parts Wholesale began in 1986 as a family business (under the name of Incomex Trading), operating out of the family garage, but with the intention of becoming a significant player in the Australian wholesale distribution of bicycle parts and accessories. With many years of experience in international trade, this small family enterprise worked hard to gain a niche in the Australian Bicycle Industry. Initially this was through identifying and then buying the products that no other wholesalers wished to purchase, odd sizes, low volume product and supporting these products with ranges of the top selling "necessities" of everyday servicing. Incomex Trading established its niche in the market and slowly grew and prospered including a move into a small warehouse in Clayton, Victoria.

In 2006 Incomex Trading was sold as the founder, Paul Marin, wished to retire. Under new ownership the name was changed to Bicycle Parts Wholesale (BPW). On its first day under new ownership, BPW was advised by experienced Bicycle retailers that it needed to "upgrade the product packaging and introduce barcoding on all products" and this project was commenced a week later. Six months later the new owners, with a strong belief in the future of the Cycling Industry, made the decision to move to larger premises, dramatically increase the ranges and depth of product as part of a vision to become a more important supply partner with the Independent Bicycle Stores sector. A couple of years past with strong progress, when a pivotal moment occurred. The owners of Bicycle Solutions ( a specialist bicycle wheel building company and distributor of Gomier tricycles) approached BPW with the proposal that BPW buy their Company as it would be an extremely good fit. After a year of negotiations the deal was done and BPW became more than a P & A distributor. This decision was also viewed within the industry as a clear signal of an intention to expand and the following years saw BPW approached by the owners of Holstar and then Bicycle Wholesalers to buy their Companies which subsequently occurred.

Through these years BPW transformed into a modern professional wholesaler with a comprehensive range of products including exclusive Brand distribution, a highly respected hardcopy catalogue, and now with the third generation B2B website, an up to date I.T. mechanism to communicate with our customer base and allow easy searching and ordering of required products, with full integration with our stock and customer account systems.

We are proud to be one of few wholesalers with warehouse facilities located in Melbourne and Brisbane increasing our ability to deliver efficiently to the IBS sector throughout  our massive country of Australia. Orders are dispatched the same day or the next working day. Our extensive network of carrier companies ensure orders can be delivered Australia wide within 24 to 72 hours in most states, with best value negotiated freight costs passed onto our clients at all times.

What we are most proud of, without any doubt, is the wonderful, caring, knowledgeable staff we have working at BPW. We still have the original 1 staff from Incomex Trading, 2 staff from Bike Solutions, 1 staff from Holstar, 1 staff from Bicycle Wholesalers, plus all of the original staff employed in the first years of BPW. To add to this solid base, all of our more recent additions to our staff have increased our levels of knowledge, skill and ability to satisfy our customers requirements.
