TUNING RIDE @ LYSTERFIELD

THE GOAL for my ride was to fine tune my new weapon (made from mainly BPW parts).

Now the bike is feeling great!

The Novatec  xd642sb rear hub with its 42 point 6 pawl engagement hooks up really nicely with my 50T To 10T 12speed XD rear cassette. With a nice buzzing disengagement to let the person in front know you’re not pedalling! ( pedal faster fathernu#*er! )

AND WOW...

Now the 5th time riding it and the TRP slate T4 Pads have bedded in fully and by golly they feel awesome! Lean back and squeeze the levers and you can feel your skin peeling off the flesh with it's tremendous stopping power!

Still have a bit of work to do, tuning the fork and shock to the frame. At home I changed volume chamber to a larger one to slow down the rear shock and make all the travel useable without running excessive sag.

Think I have nailed the rear but will have to remove the air chamber spacer on front fork to increase volume and be able to use more travel on the front as its getting firmer as you get 2/3rds in to the travel.

But all in all it is coming along nicely!

Lysterfeild as per usual top notch trails easy to navigate.

Had a few large kangaroos leap past me as I was having a breather.

That is all for now will hopefully ride again this week and will keep you all posted.

Cheers
