Rode the "1 in 20" up to Sassafras last Saturday morning. Was sitting with my lovely wife at the top when we were joined by a young lady who had just completed the challenge for the second time that morning. We asked what she was training for and she enthusiastically advised she had taken up bicycle riding after seeing the Tour De Cure last year. In a couple of weeks time she will be doing this years Tour De Cure from MacKay to Cairns, a little over 1000km in 9 days. We asked her about the fund raising required and she shared that she had organised three fund raising functions, which had raised over $23,000  !! What a super star ! She further "made my day" when she commented that she noticed that we were also wearing Funkier knicks and that they were the best value and super comfortable !
